INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ARCHITECTURE

You are sitting on a universe.

You’ve been living inside it, which is why the edges don’t show.

I find the thing you built without meaning to.

Sean Platt. Nearly twenty years turning other people’s ideas into money from behind the scenes.

SHEET N°01

Repurposing is cutting the same steak thinner.

I look at what someone has already built and I see the universe they’ve been living inside without knowing it. Every format their idea should inhabit. Every room that should exist so strangers stumble into their world from all directions and fall in love before they realize they’ve each entered through a different door of the same extraordinary estate.

WHAT I SEESHEET N°02

Say a workplace culture expert comes to me with a keynote and a book about building teams. She’s thinking about bulk sales and speaking fees.

I see something she can’t.

I see a weekly newsletter soap opera, serialized, addictive, written with the warmth and nerve of your sharpest friend, following a fictional middle manager named Diane who is slowly, painfully, hilariously transforming the most dysfunctional department in corporate America. Readers don’t just open these emails. They forward them to their entire team with the subject line This is literally us.

I see a podcast with a narrative engine so magnetic that nobody skips an episode, because the season tells a story and they need to know how it ends. A show people are devoted to.

I see a series of short, impeccably crafted books, each one a single focused idea you can finish over lunch, written under a pen name with a voice so distinct that readers follow the narrator across topics the way they’d follow a favorite bartender’s recommendation. The pen name has a backstory. A signature line. A personality that feels more real than most actual humans on LinkedIn.

I see Schoolhouse Rock for the modern workplace. Catchy, brilliant songs about feedback loops and emotional intelligence that make people laugh because the lyrics land a little too close to home, and then they can’t stop humming them in meetings. A hook is worth a thousand PowerPoints.

Every one of these stands on its own. Each has its own creative integrity, its own audience, its own reason to exist. None of it feels like a funnel because none of it is a funnel. But all of it leads back to her.

The person who discovers the song tells a friend about the podcast. The podcast listener picks up the book. The book reader subscribes to the newsletter. And by the time someone hires her to transform their company, they feel like they already know her.

Because they do. They’ve been living in her world for months, through doors they chose to walk through.

That’s what a map looks like.

I call it using the whole animal. Nothing goes to waste.

The idea doesn’t get thinner as it travels. It changes form without losing its DNA.

Same source. New body. More ways in.

WHO’S ASKINGSHEET N°03

I’m Sean Platt. I’ve written well over a hundred books and published several hundred more, most of them under other people’s names. Academy and Emmy winners. Fortune 500 CEOs. Founders who’d built something enormous but couldn’t say what it was in a sentence.

Nearly twenty years of that taught me one thing, and it happened on nearly every project.

SEAN PLATT

The book was never the most valuable thing in the room.

Early on I wrote sales copy for a man selling a course nobody was buying. Halfway in I realized the course was the least valuable thing he owned. Before he’d take anyone’s money he ran them through a set of questions that told him in ten minutes whether they’d succeed, and he used it to turn people away. I told him the questions were the product. He made more selling those than the course ever earned.

It happens all the time. The client work, the talk they’ve given fifty times, the framework they use by instinct and have never named: somewhere in there is intellectual property worth more than whatever they hired me to make. I got tired of watching people walk past the best thing they owned.

I got tired of watching people walk past it.

THE DEEDSHEET N°04
RECORDED

Forget deliverables.
I hand you a deed.

My clients have a business with more revenue when I’m finished. They also have a world that breathes on its own. Their ideas reach people in places they never imagined, carried by stories and voices so native to each medium that nobody would guess they all come from the same source.

Their ideas arrive before they do.

No spreadsheet captures what happens in the room. I’ve watched it enough times to know it by feel. The person across from me goes quiet. Something shifts. The thing they walked in calling a book cracks open and becomes a world they can see in all directions at once.

I never gave them anything new. I showed them what was already there, waiting for somebody who thinks in universes.

ONE OF THESE BECAME A COMPANYSHEET N°05

David Mozeika had a financial practice, a fintech platform, and a way of explaining money that lived only in his conversations with clients.

I saw what he’d built and named what was living inside it.

Smarter Money came out of that read. The explanation he’d been giving away one client at a time is now a publishing company, a fulfillment operation, and a method other advisors pay to send under their own names.

“Sean reads IP the way I read a cash flow statement. He looked at the way I talk to clients and found a company in it.”

The Infinite IP Map

$50,000

The full architecture of your IP ecosystem, designed and sequenced.

Once you know what you have, the question changes. How do you make what already works do more together than it does apart?

Six to eight weeks. Scattered outputs become a single blueprint. Every asset in its right place, every distribution path designed to feed the others, the whole ecosystem mapped and sequenced and ready to build.

The X Advisory

$250,000 / year

A year-long partnership for creators whose IP is already working and should be working harder.

Ten hours a month, and you set the agenda. Every quarter the architecture gets stronger. Every opportunity gets evaluated against the full picture of what you’re building, because I hold that picture at all times.

By the end of the year you are not the same creator you were when we started.

The Infinite IP Universe Builder

From $2,000,000

Your complete body of work, transformed into a living ecosystem.

This is the whole animal. Every piece of what you’ve created, the books, the talks, the methods, the ideas that never quite found their form, examined, reimagined, and rebuilt as a unified commercial ecosystem. The series that spins out of the book. The persona that carries the idea somewhere new. The revenue architecture that keeps compounding long after the build is done.

This is the kind of thing you put in your will.

Some people spend their entire career standing on gold and calling it ground.

One engagement a year.

Every universe starts with an X.
